Bremby's Miseducations in the Classroom, Nancy Boyda's Contract Stalker

Bremby made his way into a KU classroom the other day and lumped tobaccoo use, obesity, clogged sinks and ending sidewalks as part of an elaborate display to defend his position on the coal bill.

Never mind that Barack Obama has been on the trail in West Virginia lauding the benefits of clean coal, never mind the Governor and House Dems opposed a bill that would require NE Kansans to conserve energy, never mind that his standards were completely arbitrary, never mind that Holcomb would be the most technologically advanced clean coal facility ever built and never mind that Holcomb plant could just as well be built in Oklahoma - with even less regulations- and cost Kansas billions of dollars in investment/ tax revenue and thousands of well-paying jobs.

Those points didn't merit attention. He was too busy casting the Holcomb plant's CO2 emissions as an Armageddon and himself as Kansas' Bruce Willis. Can I raise my hand and ask "where's Liv Tyler?"
---
So it looks like Nancy Boyda's campaign funds aren't just poorly spent, but down right sketchy. From the article:

“Nancy Boyda’s presence was also felt at the luncheon in the form of one of her campaign workers who did not speak but videotaped the event.
“He follows me everywhere I go,” Jenkins said.
“You’ve got your own stalker,” one of the guests said with a laugh.

In any case, this is clearly a sign that Boyda is taking Jenkins seriously. Let's just hope that Boyda doesn't spend our tax dollars the same way she spends her campaign money.
Let's also hope that someone calls Boyda out on this sketchy tactic. Pretty hypocritical for someone who voted against FISA if you ask me.....

I don't know if y'all know/care, but lurch doesn't work for Nancy Boyda and the Jenkins camp knows it.

Anonymous said...

ok, why do you people just have to lie? is it a habit or a mental illness.

the dude following JR & LJ around doesn't work for Boyda. He works for the KDP. Just look at the FEC reports, you can figure it out for yourselves.

Thank heavens you moved past your mistaken posts on NBAF and Holcomb and your lies about Swenson to post about something you know something about. Oh, wait, apparently you're off base here too. Oh well. ps. Ben Hodge resigned yesterday - isn't that news? Or are you all in mourning for your good friend, Ben?

Anonymous said...

And if they work for the KDP, who is the likely beneficiary?

Anonymous said...

Who is Ben Hodge?

great conspiracy theory! notice the size of contributions from the Boyda's to the state party in this cycle....i promise you i wouldn't work for that kind of money.

dumb republicans

Anonymous said...

I heard that someone has come across some interesting emails between Shannananan and Mike, maybe someone will post those later to demonstrate how close the connection is.

And, anon, who else would the beneficiary be other than boyda. Does she have a primary challenger that KDP wants to help?

You can't possibly be that stupid.

Anonymous said...

The Kansas Democratic Party?

Anonymous said...

"Who is Ben Hodge?"

LOL. That is a very good question.

Anonymous said...

What's sketchy about recording public events? It's not like they're tapping their phone lines or something. If Jenkins and Ryun and whoever else believe so much in their message, they should welcome the opportunity for it to documented.

Anonymous said...

Or using fake email addresses to try to get juicy campaign tidbits.

Anonymous said...

The KSDP wouldn't be spending time and money on someone to film Jenkins unless they had complete approval from Shanan Guinn, Nancy Boyda and her campaign manager.

Fact is- the only reason Boyda's camp isn't paying for it, is so they can distance themselves from employing a stalker. Either way, it's sketchy as hell and will only help Jenkins. Good work guys, good work.

Anonymous said...

What's wrong Shanan and Mike, feel like you've been snookered?

Anonymous said...

Shanan -- how are things ?

Anonymous said...

(the party is recording jim, too...what does that mean?)

oh, i know what it means...sorry i asked...it means the state party is trying to do whatever they can to make sure they know exactly what kind of crazy both JR & LJ are saying.

got nothing to do with Boyda- everything to do with the KDP being more with it than the KS GOP.

I think I'm beginning to understand how you guys think. Some nutty theory pops into your head and instead of following the usual "think first, then blog" algorithm, you've reversed it.

Anonymous said...

close anon, you're correct that they blog first, but I'm not convinced thinking is involved in the process at all.

Lurch is hot.

Anonymous said...

who is lurch?

Anonymous said...

the jenkins stalker is lurch, silly.

Anonymous said...

Yes, you see, TKR is way behind the times...

so...when will the blog issue a clarification? when will they say Boyda isn't paying for the tracker?

never? oh, ok. why? because they don't have any integrity.

Right.

A former Boyda staffer said...

Boyda should demand that the KDP stop the lurch thing NOW!

kthnkbye said...

KSDP money is fungible. If boyda's campaign thought it could be better spent on campaign lit or ads, they would tell lurch to stop. But Boyda's camp approves, and therefore Lurch continues to lurch.

Not only is Boyda approving sketchyness, but she's wasting her campaign money. Sounds good to me.

A former Boyda staffer said...

Lurch operates with the complete complicity of the Boyda campaign! Don't let anyone fool you! I was actively involved in Boyda's 2006 campaign and know how Shanan and Steve operate. In 2006 we used national DNP workers (spies) all over the district, especially those cities with universities.

miss anonymous said...

I'm gonna remake a point an earlier poster made: The Democrats are taping public officials in public places at public events.

All very legal.

What you crazies are accusing "Lurch" of doing is something that's a violation of Kansas Statutes.

More slander from the crazy mofo's who have taken over the Republican Party. It's a sad day.

A former Boyda staffer said...

To the last anon poster: just because something's legal doesn't make it right. This is just another example of why I could no longer associate myself with the Boyda operation. Too sleazy!

miss anonymous said...

Former Boyda staffer:

Every credible, national-level campaign with serious opposition employs trackers.

No wonder you're a "former" staffer. I wouldn't hire you to manage a race for dog-catcher.

The delusions of what's left of the Kansas Republican Party will be your downfall.

Pity.

Anonymous said...

why in the world is is sleazy or "sketchy" for the KDP to tape public meetings of candidates running for public office?

it isn't.

and you people who are just sooo sure boyda's behind all of this need to take a breath, live in reality, and stop lying to yourselves just because you hate her.

A former Boyda staffer said...

The last straw for me with the Boyda camp was the trading of earmarks for campaign dollars under the guise of a city lobbyist.

Anonymous said...

Whats wrong or shady about recording public events?

Seems your worried your candidates might say something regrettable and you want to eliminate the risk of public scrutiny, and I think that's they only thing shady here.

A former Boyda staffer said...

If only someone would follow Nancy and Steve around with a camera, after hours, boy would they have some segments for You Tube! Of course that would take 2 people with cameras!

Anonymous said...

since everyone knows boyda didn't have any staff at all in 2006..other than one guy who still works for her...everyone knows "a former boyda staffer" is lying through his/her slimy teeth.

it is awfully sad the republicans are so worried about lynn & jim being taped...concerned someone will catch them saying something indefensible?

Anonymous said...

oh, also (silly me, forgot)..."a former boyda staffer" says he/she/it knows how Shanan operates because of their work together in '06.

since shanan was in wichita working for gov. sebelius then, i'm not sure what on earth this person thinks they're saying.

oh, right, LIES, they're saying LIES!

A former Boyda staffer said...

Oh, I am real and Nancy and Steve know who I am and that I served for the Boyda campaign and got paid to do a lot of things I know regret. I notice that neither Steve or Nancy or Shanan will publicly call me out.

I didn't say I worked with Shanan in 2006, I said I know how she operates. I've known Shanan for quite a while.

Anonymous said...

soo funny...because this real former boyda staffer knows you're full of shit.

tell me all about what you know about shanan from the '06 campaign? please? give us details.

Anonymous said...

ah...so you must have been fairly highly placed within the structure of the KSDP.

who else have you worked for? what all did shanan do for the governor/boyda in '06? how many paid staff did nancy have in '06?

what's nancy's son's name?

Anonymous said...

all of this stupid because the KDP tapes republicans?

the KS GOP only wishes they were that put together.

Anonymous said...

If jenkins is having a small event, say 15 people, and there is someone from the kdp videotaping it, it comes off a little intense, dont ya think?

I mean, this isn't a presidential election, this is Kansas. And the media is going to report on, like in this case.

Someone needs to remind Shanan that this isnt the Kerry 04 race.

Anonymous said...

I like the 2nd posting. What a hypocrit.

Jeff Black said...

If Lynn and Jim were smart they would do the same thing. Nancy does NOT like to video taped. There was a supporter in Pitt that had taped her at an event down there and she flew off the handle, pounding her fist and all red faced, screaming that Jim didn't have the guts to show up...to an event he wasn't invited to.

I've seen her temper flare too often and she would be a great one to follow around.

Anonymous said...

of course the republicans should tape nancy- of course they should!

i don't think any of the candidates in this race will do anything horrible ever...but taping them does keep all of them honest.

we wouldn't have known George Allen was a racist if he hadn't been taped.

A former Boyda staffer said...

Let's get even more personal than Nancy's kids/grandchildren's names. I prefer to keep kids out of the limelight. Instead, let's talk about the restraining order that one of the ex's has against _____! (hint- five letter first name)

Ben Hodge, legislature's resident loony bin, resigns and not a peep from this Republican blog. Wonder why? Perhaps because it is a fact and not a baseless rumor.

No more "getting Hodged" in committee? No more hysterical "Ben Hodge" moments on the House floor?

Damn. There goes all my fun.

Anonymous said...

I can't wait to see this lurch character next time I'm at an event... what does he look like?

Anonymous said...

oh, ben hodge...my favorite loony off to greener pastures.

Lynn Jenkins continues to be the flakiest person running for Congress in the midwest.

Why would I read A's dribble?

Anonymous said...

Is Jenkins stirred up by this fellow? Boyda and her staff are creepy, no other word describes it. If she says she's not connected to this fella filming opponent(s) then she is a "damn liar."

Boyda Bloc said...

Lord, children...the tracker is paid for by the Kansas Democratic Party, not Nancy Boyda. Go ahead, ask Jim or Lynn...from what we understand they already know that.

Why the KS GOP doesn't do the same thing, we can't guess...perhaps because they're too busy tilting at windmills...

Anonymous said...

BB you are such an idiot. You know full well that the KDP is just fronting the money and Boyda will be the beneficiary, or is the KDP gearing up for the 2010 treasurers race already? It will show up as in kind to the Boyda campaign and she'll reimburse it. Get in the game BB. You accuse the Rep here of spreading lies, but you do the same thing.

boydabloc said...

Oh, dear...in the end, you're just missing the bigger picture: the KDP isn't just recording Lynn, they're recording Jim, too. Funny bit about the 2010 Treasurer's race, though.

Anything interesting (or crazy) either of them say will, of course, become part of the campaign...but it will be the KDP that does it, not Boyda...because, again, what's being gathered is being gathered by the KDP, not Boyda.

It's a pretty major distinction...to bad you can't see it.

Oh, also...your paranoid little "she'll just reimburse" scheme is probably illegal..so that'll prolly not happen.

Anonymous said...

I thought Boyda was sick of partisan politics. Taping every word your oponents say on the stump seems about as partisan as it comes. Again Boyda talks out of both sides of her mouth. If she really wanted to reduce partisanship she would ask whoever is doing the taping to stop. But she of course won't. Again BB you just don't get it, I guess politics in OC is not the same as Topeka and DC. You're a 20 something light weight that doesn't know anything about real politics. You just know partisan drivel.

Anonymous said...

You've all failed to answer a fundamental question: What is wrong with keeping a record of what the candidates say in public? What is sketchy about this?

Boyda Bloc said...

Boyda isn't taping anything anyone is saying.

And there isn't anything wrong, strange, or inappropriate about recording public events...all three of these people want to be in Congress in 2009, so they should all be totally open to the fact everyone knows what their saying.

But, of course, we don't expect Republicans to understand openness in government.

Anonymous said...

Again BB you just don't get it, I guess politics in OC is not the same as Topeka and DC.

it's true..the politics in Oklahoma City are different than in Kansas & DC.

why doesn't boyda have supporters in Kansas?
