Phil Kline is Not Pro-Life. In Fact, He's Planned Parenthood's Dream.

Well it appears that Phil Kline, who was once a standard bearer for the pro-life community, has decided to put his own personal ambition and ego ahead of advancing the pro-life cause. Why Kline would choose do something that would give Planned Parenthood Chapters across the country such pleasure is beyond me. It appears he's been drinking from the fountain of pro-life notoriety for so long that he's incapable of discerning the real battles anymore.

The facts are quite simple. First, Democrats are fielding Rick Guinn, a solid candidate who if elected, will surely drop any of the Tiller-related investigations that Kline has pending as well as ignore any politically charged abortion fights in the future. Second, given Kline's approval ratings in JoCo, it would take at the least a morrison-esq of a scandal for Kline to beat Guinn in the general. Third, Steve Howe is not some pro-choice moderate. He is pro-life. Fourth, the ship has already set sail. Due in part to Kline's absence and the contentious JoCo climate that surrounds the race, various prominent pro-life advocates and Republican establishment players have coalesced around Steve Howe's candidacy. So unlike level-headed politicians who would prefer to put the issues ahead of their own personal ambition (like Gov. Matt Blunt who chose not to pursue reelection for the good of the party), Phil Kline has decided to fracture the party, fracture the cause and offer a victory to pro-choice Democrats.

And so I say, the only explanation for Kline's willingness to make a move that would only work to strengthen Rick Guinn and Planned Parenthoods' hand, is that he's an egomanic who is not pro-life.

Don't describe Kline's investigations at Tiller-related. Tiller lives in Wichita ... outside Kline's jurisdiction. Kline is going after Planned Parenthood, not Tiller. Of course, Kline hates Tiller. But, he's not the target of his hate.

well said custer. Kline is the Reverand Wright of the Kansas Republican party, we need him out of the spotlight if we really intend on moving forward with an agenda.

I guess that's the difference between declining to rum publicly, and de-Klining to run.

If Ben Hodge and Phil Kline go door to door together, someone please get a picture of that. That would be priceless!!!!

Kline as the Rev. Wright of Kansas politics is a perfect analogy!

Kline now makes clear his utter disregard for the Republican Party. He will be the focal point of media coverage and the face of Republicans in Johnson County. Although most GOP leaders are behind Howe, we can asume that Kline will have a lot of out-of-state money for the short primary campaign while Howe hasn't raised that much assuming no primary. If Kline somehow wins the primary, he will drag down the entire ticket in November as he has no chance of beating Guinn. This probably cooks Jordan for good as he will now have to wear Kline around his neck. Maybe now true fiscal conservatives will see how badly the right wing single issue zealots are killing the party.

Time to turn out the lights on Phill Kline's once promising political career ..... Republicans it is time to band together and make sure this albatross gets removed from the Republican Party's neck in the primary. We don't need him around come November, he will drag down many other Republicans with him on the ballot.

Let's help a highly qualified Republican candidate win the DAs office in Johnson County. Rick Guinn is a highly qualified prosecutor who would make a great DA for Johnson County. Rick has the support of Republicans statewide and Johnson County, support from both moderates and conservatives.

Let's contribute and campaign together to get Rick Guinn as Johnson County's next District Attorney.

I do not support Phill Kline but I can't support Guinn, either. He stood up in front of the JoCo GOP and declaired that he would NEVER switch parties for political gain like his old boss, Morrison, did. What happened right after he wasn't picked to replace Paul? He switched parties. Plus I suspect that some things will come out of the investigation into Morrison that will show that Guinn knew what was going on with Linda Carter and did nothing about it. I would say that Howe is the best choice right now.

I am sorry ..... I mistyped before.

Please work together to support Steve Howe ..... Steve is the candidate supported by Republicans of all political stripes .... Steve has the support of both major conservatives and major moderates in Johnson County and statewide.

Support Steve Howe for Johnson County District Attorney!!

I feel really sorry for Nick Jordan. He's the big loser in all this nonsense.

I can't imagine where Kline thinks he's going to get the votes. Give it up, Phill. Please.

By my count, not a single pro-Phill post. The people are speaking Phill, are you listening?

It's like the second coming.....

Phill won't listen until he takes another ass whooping like Johnson County folks gave him in his Attorney General's race

You guys don't get it. Phill wins when he loses. When he can show that he has given up EVERYTHING to fight PP he can walk into any pro-life group with INSTANT street cred. First, he lost the AG's office after PP poured millions against him. Now, after fighting for another two years, he loses after PP again pours a ton of money against him. He can't lose. I heard that some high-profile Christian leaders have urged him to run KNOWING THAT HE WILL LOSE to bring greater exposure to this case and the issue. Phill knows what he is doing. And who he is doing it to.

Is it true that Steve Howe's campaign slogan is "I'm not Phill Kline"?

Planned Parenthood = American Birth Control League = EUGENICS

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics

At its founding, the ABCL announced the following purposes:

* To enlighten and educate all sections of the American public in the various aspects of the dangers of uncontrolled procreation and the imperative necessity of a world programme of birth control.
* To correlate the findings of scientists, statisticians, investigators, and social agencies in all fields.
* To organize and conduct clinics where the medical profession may give to mothers and potential mothers harmless, reliable methods of birth control.
* To enlist the support and coöperation of legal advisors, statesmen, and legislators in effecting the removal of State and Federal statutes which encourage dysgenic breeding.

All you "good" Republicans get out there and work to elect some more milk toast legislators who are irrelevant because the Supreme Court rules in Kansas. Any dedicated leaders willing to sacrifice themselves will be promptly thrown under the bus.
